RECOMMENDED: I do recommend you to use Netlify for a serverless web application or Heroku for any of your projects that includes back-end functionalities since Heroku supports many technologies such as Nodejs, Python, PHP, Java, go etc to get your website project ready. You can use Github pages for your static website host. I prefer using Github pages for my projects live preview after I pushed all my code to github, then I convert to a github page for a live demo of my projects. Firebase is also a good option for your web application based on your requirements or what you need/wants to achieve.
Some other free web host also includes: vercel, infinityfree and 000webhostapp.
